Tribute & Aftermath · A Memorial Art Exhibit

Every painting here began as a letter.

A growing collection of original artwork, each piece created in response to a parent’s letter to their baby in heaven. Each canvas says the same quiet thing: this life was real, it is remembered — and there is hope for the heart that carries it.

A 501(c)(3) Ministry

Every Letter Answered with Original Art

We’ve been where you are — and we’re here to walk alongside you. There is a way through, to hope, healing, and forgiveness.

The Process

From letter to lasting tribute

The Tribute Project

I · The Letter

A parent writes

In their own hand, in their own time — a letter to their baby in heaven. There is no right way, and no words are too small.

The Tribute Project

II · The Painting

Polly answers in paint

Every letter is read slowly and answered with an original painting — one canvas, made for one child.

The Tribute Project

III · The Exhibit

The memorial grows

The original joins the Tribute & Aftermath Memorial Art Exhibit, traveling to churches across the country.

The Tribute Project

IV · The Tribute

A print comes home

The parent receives a framed fine art print of their child’s painting — a lasting tribute, for their wall, for always.

The Tribute Project

From the Collection

Second Chance

Mixed media on canvas · created in response to a mother’s letter to her son

Each work in the collection carries a story like this one — words a parent finally found, answered in color and texture. The originals travel with the exhibit; a framed print goes home to the family.

“I want to host your exhibit at our church.”

The Artist

Polly Lunetto

Artist and ordained chaplain, Polly has spent nearly three decades walking with women. She founded this ministry in 2024 and is the author of A Choice to Remember.

Ask her about the work, and her answer is the whole ministry in one sentence:

“I paint what’s hidden — and bring it to the surface.”

For Churches

Bring the exhibit to your congregation

The Tribute & Aftermath Memorial Art Exhibit travels to churches at no cost. Hosting it gives the families in your community — including the ones grieving silently in your pews — a place to be acknowledged, to heal, and to remember.

The Tribute Project

If you are grieving

Begin when you’re ready

There is no deadline and no expectation. Read about the tribute, and write when the words come.

If you lead a church

Host the exhibit

The exhibit travels at no cost to your church. We handle the details; you open the doors.

If you want to help

Become a Tribute Partner

Monthly partners keep every letter answered and every exhibit free for the churches that host it.

When You’re Ready

Write to your child

Healing begins with a single letter. There is no cost to begin, and no one is ever turned away. Tributes are offered with a gift of any size, so that money is never a barrier between a parent and their child’s memory.

“God’s not mad at you — He’s mad about you.”

Your letter is received with care and complete confidentiality.
